Holy Family introduced a Parish Council in 1965, the first in the City of Peoria. The Parish Pastoral Council is the advisory body of the parish. It provides the forum for discussion of matters relating to the spiritual and material well being of the parish. It assists the Pastor through the work of the various Council Commissions listed below:
Buildings and Grounds Commission
The Buildings and Grounds Commission reviews existing facilities to determine efficient and proper use and condition. Recommendations regarding the physical plant and its surroundings are made to the Pastor. Parishioners are invited to support and help maintain the buildings and grounds by donating time on an as–needed basis for painting, plumbing, electrical, gardening, cleaning, or maintenance services.
Christian Formation Commission
Assists in development of ongoing formation and education in matters of the faith.
Community Building Commission
Assists with the development of social interaction in the parish.
Offers assistance to the administration in school and related matters.
Assists in the management of temporal affairs.
Human Concerns Commission
Assesses the needs of the people of the parish and surrounding community and works to meet these needs by enlisting members of the parish to volunteer their time and talents. Click Here for our parish committees.
Liturgy, Faith and Worship Commission
Assists in planning and celebrating weekly and seasonal liturgies and prayer services and promoting ongoing devotional activities of the parish.
